Mago Merlini S.r.l. was founded in 1969 among Valpolicella hills, near Verona. Over the years, the company has specialised in bringing traditional regional baked goods from Sardinia, Apulia, Calabria and Sicily to a wider market, while developing its own range of products with a strong artisan identity.
Foundation
The warmth of the bakery, for over half a century
Mago Merlini S.r.l. is officially founded, specialising in everyday food products.
Traditional Sardinian Carasau bread becomes a major success and is distributed throughout Italy in specially reinforced packaging.
The Pescantina facility begins operating with 10 production employees. Within a few years, the industrial area grows from 500 to 1,000 sqm.
Thanks to our commitment, reliability and consistent service, we progressively become trusted suppliers to some of Italy’s leading large-scale distribution.
After a period of development, production moves into a new facility alongside the offices, with 20 operators and more than 2,000 sqm of production space.
During the Covid period, the Company steps up its investment in green technologies by installing a 350 kW solar power system.
We stock and manage more than 2,000 pallets in real time and serve the entire Italian market with our own vehicles, supported by a telephone order service managed by the sales team. Today the company occupies 12,000 sqm, including more than 6,000 sqm of covered space.
